2nd KAIST-UCLA MAE Joint Workshop

September 13, 2005

"The 2nd KAIST-UCLA MAE Joint Workshop was held as scheduled on Sept. 8-9, 2005 at KAIST, Korea. Participating in the Workshop were 14 KAIST and 7 UCLA faculty members. The workshop covered various topics ranging from biomechanics, to controls, and to design and manufacturing. Discussions on research collaboration and personnel exchange followed technical sessions, and the Workshop concluded with a laboratory tour. We were received warmly by the KAIST faculty.

I would like to encourage you to contact KAIST faculty if you have any research topics you want to pursue together. I would be more than happy to serve as a liaison if you have difficulty contacting them directly.

I want to thank those of you who were able to participate in the Workshop. I hope more faculty can participate in the future events with KAIST."

Thank you,
H. Thomas Hahn
Chair and Professor Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering Department
