UCLA's MAE Department has strong ties to private companies as well as government-sponsored research and development organizations whose technological products, services, and R&D activities relate to the needs of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.

These strong ties are particularly beneficial to MAE students, both undergraduate and graduate, whose educational experience is enhanced through awareness of current programs and activities in industry and government.
